The month of December can sometimes seem like one never-ending conveyer belt of pigs-in-a-blanket and puff pastry petit fours. Even for the non-allergy set, the holiday season is a marathon, not a sprint. But for those of us who have to watch the wheat, we have to be even more conscious of the contents of our cocktail napkins.

While big beautiful roasts, with the meat taking center stage, don't seem to pose as much of a problem, holiday hors o'oeuvres are usually not very gluten-free friendly. And since most people tend to pop from party to party and load up on finger food in place of dinner, for gluten-free folks, this can be the culinary equivalent of coal in your stocking.

So I've put together some of my favorite gluten-free festive finger food to serve at your holiday gathering. You'll be doing your friends with dietary restrictions a solid by including a few of these items on your menu, and the rest of the crowd might enjoy a break from the mini hooded hot dogs in favor of these healthier bites.
