Phoebe Taubman is a Project Attorney and Incoming Equal Justice Works Fellow with A Better Balance: The Work and Family Legal Center. Starting this September she will lead a project to expand work/family advocacy for low-income New Yorkers, conducting outreach about workplace discrimination based on family caregiving responsibilities. Prior to joining A Better Balance, Phoebe served as law clerk to Judge Faith S. Hochberg of the United States District Court in Newark, New Jersey, and as a litigation associate at Mayer Brown LLP in New York City. She has also worked as a consultant with Third Way, contributing research and policy analysis to their middle-class project on work/family policy, and as an independent consultant with WorkLife Law. Phoebe is a member of the New York City Bar Association's Committee on Women in the Profession. She is a graduate of Harvard University and of Georgetown University Law Center.
