Name-Dropping with Pollo - Sept. 30, 2011

Hollywood heavyweight Grant Anderson isn't a household name -- but you certainly know his work. Grant's computer-generated graphics have wowed audiences in films such as The Matrix: Reloaded, Lord of the Rings 2: The Two Towers and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. In fact, he's got two Academy Awards at home to show for it!

As embarrassed as I was to pull out my $100 video camera in front of him, I recently corralled Grant to talk about his work. In this edition of NAME-DROPPING, the Oscar-winning head of Creative Monster Productions, Inc., discusses his current project -- a live-action, 3D remake of director Benton Lee's acclaimed breakdancing documentary Planet B-Boy!

Meanwhile, fans of dance and house music won't want to miss my backstage footage from the recent GIRLS4BOYS Tour. When rising dance music acts Kwanza Jones, Liz Primo and Katrina hit LGBT night clubs along the West Coast, I was there for their San Francisco stop Sept. 22 at The Crib, San Francisco's 18+ Thurs. night hot-spot. Check out my private footage with the women and preview new music from all three, including a first-listen to Kwanza's upcoming single "Time to Go"!

Other names which get dropped this week include Phlex from TV's So You Think You Can Dance, Noah's Arc and Broadway star Wilson Cruz, truTV host Scott Nevins, pop singers Dev and Skylar Grey and much more!
