R. B. Bernstein, distinguished adjunct professor of law at New York
Law School, was educated at Amherst College, the Harvard Law School,
and New York University. He has written, edited, or coedited more
than twenty books dealing with American constitutional and legal
history and focusing on the founding period. His most recent book,
THE FOUNDING FATHERS RECONSIDERED (Oxford University Press, 2009,
forthcoming in paperback, 2011), was a finalist for the 201 George
Washington Book Prize. He is now writing THE EDUCATION OF JOHN ADAMS.
He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
