Rabbi Denise Eger the founding rabbi of Congregation Kol Ami, West Hollywood's Reform Synagogue, is a long time Human rights activist. She holds a B.A. in Religion from the University of Southern California and a Masters Degree from Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion. She was ordained in 1988. She is a founder of California Faith for Equality and for Jews for Marriage Equality. She is a member of the Human Rights Campaign’s Religion Council and was recently elected as the President of the California Board of Reform Rabbis.
