Rajeev Goyal, a native of Long Island, NY, was a Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal from 2001-2003 after graduating from Brown University. As a volunteer he built a two-stage water pump that helped over 500 villagers get clean drinking water in Namje, Nepal. He is the National Coordinator of PushforPeaceCorps.org, a grassroots campaign to build an expanded and improved Peace Corps. As the founder of the "Hope for Nepal" fundraising series, Rajeev has supported local people in Nepal to build farm schools and rural water systems. A graduate of NYU Law School, he is the recipient of the Peace Corps' Franklin H. Williams Award, the America-Nepal Friendship Society Award, and Eric Dean Bender Prize. He has served in the United Nations as a Nepali translator/interpreter. He is the co-author of "Missing Piece of the Puzzle: Caste and the Conflict in Nepal," published by the NYU Law Center for Global Justice and Human Rights. He is a Board Member of the Kathmandu Valley Preservation Trust.
