Ralph White was the main organizer of 'Examining the Real Agenda of the Religious Far Right', a conference produced by The New York Open Center and The Graduate Center, City University of New York in 2005. He is co-founder and creative director of the New York Open Center, for twenty five years the city's leading venue for holistic learning and world culture. He is also editor of Lapis magazine which won the Alternative Press Award 2000 from Utne Reader and can be read at www.lapismagazine.org. He has organized numerous national and international conferences on themes such as the Art of Dying, Voluntary Simplicity, Reimagining Politics and Society at the Millennium, The Mysteries and Philosophy of Antiquity, and The Golden Age of Andalusia.

He lectures on holistic themes and hosts a monthly radio show on WBAI 99.5FM in New York City which deals with the cultural, social and spiritual changes at work in contemporary America. His writing has appeared in Tibet:True Stories, The Way of the Wanderer, and What Does It Mean To Be Human?
