GET UPDATES FROM Randall

Randall, in the mid-90's, while producing a string of original off-off-Broadway musicals, met comedian/writer, Christopher Gordon. Although they kept in touch, it wouldn't be until years later, they'd work together in California on Randall's "Wild Wild World" video series on YouTube. Today, Randall proudly shares his love of animals and humanity, in his videos; and does his best to expand honey badger awareness. His "Crazy Nastyass Honey Badger" video has 63+ million views to date.

Randall is the author of, "Honey Badger Don't Care" a guide to forgotten, and lesser-known, wild animals. He presently works with several organizations in spreading awareness for animals and human kindness including the ASPCA, The Paw Project, PETA, The Humane Society of the United States, the Freedom Beagle Project, Do Something, Greenpeace, Animals Asia and others.

A “nice Jewish boy” from New York City, Randall was raised by a pack of wild grandmothers. His father was a cameraman for “Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom” and consequently, always on the road. Randall's mother busted her rump as a late-night janitor at Gimbel’s (a fabulous department store, before your time). Randall's grandmother and her friends (Esther, Helen and Annabel) would often take him to the world famous, Bronx Zoo. Little Randall had everyone in stitches talking about the zoo's animals and soon, he would narrate everything: trips to the zoo, the playground, museums, parks; it was endless.

Randall is a loving father to three cats, one guinea pig and a parakeet.

Okay. Okay. So (lucky) day thirteen has passed, and we're now up to fourteen days since the United States government shutdown. Thirteen days ago, the Feds stood there, looking out the door and swung around the "OPEN" sign to "CLOSED"! Unreal -- and to think it wasn't long ago when...

It's like, so f****ing early on a dreary, rainy Tampa Monday morning, I can't believe I'm awake. But it's the passion of it all. It's the stories and dreams of finding new resources to use as energy. It reminds us all we are still...

I was first turned off, like a Clapper, by Donald Trump back in the mid-to-late 90's when it was rumored he was planning on building huge skyscrapers by West End Avenue--therefore, blocking the sun from roughly 68th to 80th and something streets; Riverside to parts of Broadway. Then, he insisted...

Conviction of the Week: The Animals of Texas

(6) Comments | Posted August 8, 2011 | 10:49 AM

Texas is home to some fabulous animals. The armadillo for one, is quite fantastic and borderline prehistoric, really. Did you know the name itself, "armadillo" is Spanish for "lil' armored one"? How precious?! Then, of course, you have them wonderful longhorn cattle -- their horns can grow as long as...

Okay, so the deadline is fast approaching: August 2nd! Oooh, what will you wear when the debt ceiling is raised? Will they raise it? Will the United States default, causing the Treasury Department to freak out? I sincerely hope there isn't a big economic freak out... again! The most common...

There are so many crazy, wild men out there these days, aren't there? Good, Lord! Men whom without online social platforms such as Facebook or Twitter, would probably be out in the park wearing a trench coat and flashing anything that moved! There's no question about it, stupid, today's technology...
