Ray Taylor
Ray Taylor is a member of the Irish Aid Rapid Response Corps and has worked in senior management positions for the global humanitarian organization Concern Worldwide, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, and the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR). He has worked in humanitarian disasters and emergencies for the last 16 years, specializing in logistics and emergency shelter. He was educated at the Dublin Institute of Technology where he qualified as a construction surveyor and is also a registered EMT Paramedic. He lives with his wife Liz in Dublin, Ireland.

It started with music. For those of us who came of age in the 1960s, music was a transformational force, and so it was with my journey into a career in humanitarian aid.
I was first attracted to this work by the famine response in Ethiopia in 1983-85....
