Rebecca Harris is an independent consultant, currently based in Washington, DC. She served as the Information Services Coordinator at the Bank Information Center (BIC), a non-profit, non-governmental organization that advocates for the protection of rights, participation, transparency, and public accountability in the governance and operations of the World Bank Group. Her writing has been published in The Huffington Post, The Washington Post, Foreign Policy and the International Herald Tribune/New York Times Global Opinion section.

Prior to her tenure at BIC, Rebecca served on the Steering Committee of Foreign Policy Professionals for Obama, and has worked on policy regarding children’s issues in the developing world, aid effectiveness, and transparency within the extractive industries.
