Rebecca Shapiro is the Manager of Maximum Exposure and a Junior Fellow at USC Annenberg’s Center on Communication Leadership. She graduated in May, 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Minor in Advertising from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California. From 2006-2008, she worked as a research assistant for Dr. Stacy Smith, PhD. analyzing gender portrayals and hypersexuality in children’s television, R-rated films, Oscar nominated films for Best Picture, and the AFI’s ‘Greatest Films of All Time.’ With a strong interest in photography and visual communication, she also mentors underprivileged youth in Downtown Los Angeles by teaching documentary photography skills and helping youth develop their own documentary projects.
