Activists in cities around the world have reacted to the conflict in Gaza by hosting demonstrations both supporting and protesting Israel's response to Hamas. Since the start of the conflict on December 27, 2008, we've received photos from Brussels, London, Alberta, Boston, Dallas, Atlanta and San Francisco.
We've received photos from pro-Gaza demonstrations but we're also interested in photos of pro-Israeli marches.
HuffPost World Photojournalists Simon Kimber, Shirley Capshaw, Jillian York, Andrew Partain, Asma Tekbali, Peter Maiden, Paula E. Kirman and Luke Jaworski share their photographs.
Are you a witness to the conflict in Gaza and Israel? Are you attending a protest? Help HuffPost World document the ongoing conflict by sending us your photos.
Send your photos as attachments to worldsubmissions@huffingtonpost.com. Format them to 550 x 400 pixels, 150 resolution, and provide captions and bylines.
Captions should include as much information about the image as possible. Please tell us where you got the information. If you are unsure about a detail in the photograph, indicate so in the caption. Include your full name and where you live so we may credit your work accurately.

There are two new posts on the In Gaza site run by Canadian activist Eva Bartlett. Her blog relates to the medical side of the conflict.

Maybe if a lot of children had painted "STOP THE ROCKETS " and were paraded past the radical islamist terrorists , we would not be reading of this
Oh okay, now its the children's fault.
Children who are in concentration camps should paint 'stop the rockets'. yeah, right... that will help their plight.http://www.huffingtonpost.com/rebecca-shapiro/israel-gaza-protests-arou_b_156325.html#
I'm at a loss: Our "elected" officials don't care about our cute little "protests."
Found a blogger who used to be a US Army officer working with the IDF:
http://turcopolier.typepad.com/sic_semper_tyrannis/2009/01/the-idf-ground.html
"In Beit Suhur outside Bethlehem, I have seen IDF troops shoot at Palestinian Christian women hanging out laundry in their gardens. This was done with tank coaxial machine guns from within a bermed up dirt fort a couple of hundred yards away, and evidently just for the fun of it. In Bethlehem a lieutenant told me that he would have had his men shoot me in the street during a demonstration that I happened to get caught in, but that he had not because he thought I might not be a Palestinian and that if I were not the incident would have caused him some trouble. I have seen a lot of things like that."
So, what to do, what to do? Boycott Israeli products? It's ILLEGAL to boycott Israeli companies! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? http://www.bis.doc.gov/complianceandenforcement/antiboycottcompliance.htm
But they can't make us buy their products. It's as simple as that. It's time for a collective strike against the War Machine.
here's a good place to start

Here is a link to an article from the Toronto Star about a Canadian protest in Montreal

I am myself of Muslim Mid-Eastern ethnicity... and when I saw all those pro-Palestinians in the US, I found myself thinking "Who ARE these people? I've never noticed them before..."
Why can't we have a civilized discussion about this? Why does it seem like every demonstrator is either racist or delusional?
No doubt, what are we teaching our children? There will always be conflict in life, it is how you handle it that decides how tramatic it is for the future. People are angry, and I understand that, but we must find a way to attain peace even if we have to give up someting in order to maintain the peace. I feel for Palestine and I hope the people of Gaza are allowed to have normal lives like the rest of us get to. What a tragedy!

That since WW2, Jews are always the victim, no matter how many facts have to be omitted to whitewash Israel/US Inc.'s crimes. Our Republican Party treats us like children, like Nicholson's "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH" crap from Few Good Men and our Democratic Party acts like textbook enablers.
why aren't you asking this question of the US govt who sells weapons to Israel and gives them over 3 billion in aid per year and asking it of the Israeli govt who is doing the slaughtering?
It's alarming tha tyou feel the protestors are the problem.
Hi rebecca.
I did notk ow where to send you pictures.
bt this is very interesting to watch..it explains everthyng about the media.

As Jon Stewart pointed out on Monday last, the media in the U.S. is extremely one-sided. This film link is really helpful. Thank you for the link.
Thank you for watching it tulka2
i was not sure huffimgton post would allow,it
Thank you.
UNICEF,
"Modern warfare and children
Between 1990 and 2003, there were 59 armed conflicts around the world. Most of these were civil wars, where people living in the same country fight each other. In modern wars most casualties are civilians: a shocking 90 per cent, 80 per cent of whom are women or children."
Interesting how there's no mention of how "pro-peace" anti-Israel protesters attacked pro-Israel protesters in San Francisco: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=682_1231225007 and http://israelmatzav.blogspot.com/2009/01/video-violent-pro-hamas-demonstration.html
Or how about the calls to "Nuke Israel" and for the Jews to "go back into the ovens" in Fort Lauderdale: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=j3Xl68kP4wo
Toronto: "You are the products of pigs! You are the products of monkeys!" and after someone said "Hitler didn't do a good enough job" and was asked to explain, he turned and appeared to knock the camera out of the hands of the person holding it. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=46e_1231230093
Those are just the few instances that were documented. It does nothing to help the cause of the Palestinians to turn this into a Jew-bashing extravaganza.
And for the record, there is a pro-Israel rally scheduled in London with the tagline: "No to Hamas Terror! Peace for the people of Israel and Gaza"
What would be your reaction if your family and friends were being massacred? I don't condone violence but their frustration and anger is understandble.
MY
I'm not questioning their right to protest. I wish people protested more. On a side note, where are the protests over the genocide in Darfur (over 400,000 dead)?Or about the massacres that occur daily in the Congo (at least 5.4 million dead)? Why aren't people's voices raised in anguish over the loss of life in Cambodia, Burma, Columbia, Uganada, the list goes on and on. The international community was silent while Hamas and other terrorist organizations fired thousands of rockets into Israel for years...
So that's what my reaction is. 1,000 people die a day, a day, in the Congo, and yet the streets around the world are silent. Why is that? In 2007, over 2,000 Iraqis were killed-not by coalition forces but by suicide bombs perpetrated by their fellow Muslims. Where are the protests? Not to mention how silent the world has been lately over the Sudan...
But I'm off point. My point-I'm not killing anyone. You know what's antisemitic? According to the EU, its holding Jews collectively responsible for the actions of the state of Israel. Just like I can't walk up to a Muslim and punch him in the face because Muslims are launching thousands of rockets at Israel, Muslims and Palestinian sympathizers cannot walk up to Jews and others expressing their support for Israel to defend itself (which does not mean they support the indiscriminate killings of Palestinians) and attack them. It's wrong, the same way collective punishment of Palestinians is wrong.
didn't see any signs " Hamas , stop the rockets and this wouldn't happen"
