Rebekah Spicuglia is an activist, writer, and Media Manager at The Women's Media Center, making women visible and powerful in the media.

Originally from Virginia, Spicuglia grew up in California, where she worked on several film and television projects before attending the University of California at Berkeley. After earning a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications, Spicuglia joined the Media Field Strategy Team at the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), where she contributed to the research and development of GLAAD's Media Essentials guide and Announcing Equality program.

Spicuglia is also a musician, mother, and an active member of the feminist mamasphere -- supporting moms as a powerful political force and advocating for noncustodial parents on her NonCustodial Parent Community website: http://ncpcommunity.com.
