A Special Message From George W. Bush

What's Your Reaction:

You can tell a lot about a person by his friends. Howard Dean, Michael Moore, Dennis Kucinich and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz are my friends. And they've all joined our moneybomb at CongressmanWithGuts.com.

And you can tell a lot about a person by his enemies. Sarah Palin came to my district two weeks ago, and told her zombie minions to "take me out." The National Republican Party says that I'm their #1 target in 2010. And now, it's George W. Bush's turn. See for yourself:

But when it comes to George W. Bush, with enemies like that, who needs friends? What's he going to do, attackify me?

Still, if there's one thing that's clear, it's that the right-wing doesn't want me in Congress. They don't want to hear the truth. They don't want to see courage.

So I have to ask you: will you make sure that our moneybomb today is a success? Will you give what you can give, and tell all your friends to do the same. Will you make this George W. Bush video go virusful?

CongressmanWithGuts.com. Let's do it.

LMAO! Great special message.

How original, use George Bush as a strawman. No substance, no policy, just "Here's a comic doing Bush, give me money". I'm so very compelled.

Love it, love it, love it. Scary, though, to think that this was the man that was President for 8 (long) years.
I hope Alan Grayson is re-elected in his district and continues to speak out.

Any friend of Howard Dean or Alan Grayson is a friend of mine.

I'm in for a ten-spot, Rep Grayson! Good luck in fighting off the Palin-bots.

Speak your truth, even if your voice quivers.

Go Alan Grayson! I am a fan of yours.

I was already a fan of Rep. Alan Grayson but I take my hat off to him for going with a video that is so humourous and clever. Politicians usually have a reputation for being fuddy-duddies, but this was creative and bold. Way to go! Plus it's a very funny and accurate impression -- is this the same actor who imitated Bush in the movie "Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo?"

Thank you Grayson, you are a true founding father type liberal.

I really like that you are supporting and joining with the other congresspeople with guts!

Hi Rep. Grayson -

I've seen you several times on various news shows. Saw you this afternoon on CNN opposite a tea-party fellow... I'll preface by saying, please keep up the good fight. BUT, in that exchange you came off a bit like a Republican shouting head: a bit content-shy, sensationalist and a little overly confrontational -- I thought. Maybe that's what the Dems need (to stoop to the level of the loud right), but I hope not. Thought it made us look bad and the other guy almost sympathetic by contrast. Again, appreciate the sentiments, though. A thought.

Perhaps it was incendiary remarks such as this that led to violence against Tea Partier this weekend in Nevada?

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702304370304575151830740900748.html?mod=WSJ_Opinion_MIDDLESecond

"Andrew Breitbart, the conservative Internet entrepreneur who was one of several speakers at the rally, says the crowd was large enough that it raised the ire of local Reid supporters. He noticed one man holding a sign directing Tea Parties in the wrong direction. When Mr. Breitbart approached to chat with the Reid supporters, he saw several throwing eggs at the Tea Party Express buses. The protesters, he says, quickly surrounded him, including one who declared: "I'm going to have to go to jail today if this guy [Breitbart] doesn't leave."

Also of note, Mr. Brietbart is offering to donate 100,000 dollars to charity "if anyone could provide video evidence that racial epithets were used against CBC members." Considering how well-known this seems to be here on HuffPo, I'm certain nobody will have a problem producing this evidence.

Yes the Rupert Murdoch owned Wall Street Journal is a bastion of reliable information.

I'm sure they have tons of video to support the claim right? Ohh that's right, not a single video to support these claims of violence.
09:43 AM on 03/30/2010
wheres the video of the racial slurs that ..werent yelled
03:08 AM on 03/30/2010
Democrats throw eggs.

Republicans just shoot people.

If you want to be seen as a legitimate, competent individual who was partly judged on his close associations, Michael Moore should certainly not be anywhere near the list of people you would be touting as your friend.

Sarah Palin, either.

And Howard Dean? LOL

And your lobbying for money from the masses in this way makes it look like you took fundraising 101 from a televangelist.

To the contrary, this is Huffington Post! I thought his rhetoric was well-tempered considering his audience. I still took issue with it, of course, but it could have been much worse. After all, Grayson only insulted Palin supporters as mindless dopes. Obama insulted all non-Democrats in this manner:

http://www.breitbart.tv/do-what-theyre-told-obama-takes-swipe-at-republicans-during-nyc-fundraiser/

If there is one big issue I take with Obama, it is that insult he made against me (since I am not, after all, a registered Democrat, I must be one of the mindless ones who just "kind of do what they're told.") Maybe I should actually do what I'm told, and not vote for Obama again.
09:26 AM on 03/30/2010
if you can ..think for yourself..

you;ll make the RIGHT choice

obama believes america...is brain dead

hes attempting to ..divide this country

hell of a leader we have now...
07:37 PM on 03/29/2010
I presume you yourself are more "legitimate" and "competent" than Michael Moore.

Not in a million years.
04:10 PM on 03/29/2010
An accurate portrayal of W. Too funny!
04:01 PM on 03/29/2010
The funniest part about this blog is Grayson's desperation for cash.
07:38 PM on 03/29/2010
Yeah, he's the only politician I know of who needs money to run for office. He ought to raise no money and let his opponent raise all he wants and run all the commercials he wants. Then you'd approve.
10:03 PM on 03/29/2010
Maybe we should change it and elect cash striped candidate :-) .

I'll explain later.

Roll Call, a Capitol Hill newspaper, ranked him 12th among all members of Congress based on financial disclosure forms, with a minimum net worth of $31.12 million. He ain't desperate.

See, politicians get elected when people go to the polls People with an investment in a candidate financially make sure they vote. Fundraising has a greater purpose than simply raising funds.
03:57 PM on 03/29/2010
OMG that is hilarious! "Mohammed Ghandi", "rolling down the hill like an alligator." P..s. .I love Representative Grayson. Guts AND cujones.
03:07 PM on 03/29/2010
Unpossible to get any funnier
