Today I Endorsed Barack Obama

I wanted to share some exciting news with you, as today I announced my endorsement of Senator Barack Obama for President of the United States.

Like so many Americans, I first heard Senator Obama when he delivered his electrifying speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston. Deep down, I knew I'd witnessed history in the making.

Barack Obama represents a bridge to the future. He embodies the hope and new direction that our country so desperately needs. As I've watched Senator Obama campaign for the presidency, I am convinced that he is a real agent of change; a man who can lead our nation in a new and positive direction.

This century cries for social, environmental, diplomatic, global, and neighborhood solutions to the misery that confronts far too many people in our own country and around the globe. I share Senator Obama's vision and active commitment to building a society based on activism, progressive values and a keen sense that we must act now and outside of the usual bounds of partisanship and expediency.

I know that a President Obama would find a prompt and effective way to end the occupation of Iraq and that he would strengthen U.S. diplomacy and international development as an instrument of national policy to prevent crises that lead to war and conflagration.

I know that a President Obama would place education, health care, poverty, economic security, criminal justice reform, climate change and all of the important domestic issues at the top of his agenda.

And, I know that a President Obama would make the eradication of HIV/AIDS at home and abroad a top priority.

I founded One Voice PAC as an organization dedicated to helping elect truly progressive candidates who will challenge the status quo. To that end, I am honored to endorse Senator Obama's candidacy and I hope you will join me in helping him secure the Democratic nomination for the presidency.

Thank you, Congresswoman Lee. You are a true patriot and inspiration. I was for Senator Dodd, but your endorsement of Obama will have a huge impact on my choice for the nomination and presidency.

I can give no thanks, but do appreciate your boldness in endorsing a candidate for someone in your position.

I've looked at his voting record. Now I will go look at yours.

"Mr. Positive" who misses every vote which MAY turn out to be contraversial, just unleashed a guttersnipe attack on John Edwards.
He is just another typical lying politician, and he ain't going ever be elected President of the U.S.A. He ain't going even be elected Vice President of the U.S.A.

Oprah and he should be opening schools in the U.S.A, and not in Africa, unless they are Africans and not Americans, in which case emigrate to Africa but leave our wealth here.

Hypocrites, both of them. And you too, Rep. Lee.

Thank you Congresswoman Lee! It's leaders like yourself and Senator Obama that the country will look to for leadership for many years to come. Know that because you have stood up for Senator Obama and this movement, this movement will stand up for you when you need us. You can take that to the bank.

Obama 08!

What you don't know is how pathetically lame his energy policy is. It has no hope whatsoever of reducing our contribution to climate change. Anyone who endorses clean coal, has zero understanding of energy efficiency or knowledge of how dirty coal is; even its cleanest form.

The other major component of his energy policy is ethanol. Using corn to produce ethanol is the equivilant of taking one dollar out of your left pocket and putting it in your right pocket. I am not sure how he arrived at this plan, but it is only one shade cleaner than the current administrations energy policy.

If you doubt my claims, I suggest you visit his website and see for yourself.

This election is being designed, written to prepare the Nation for the future. A worldwide broadcast of charactors parading across a stage for the brainwashing of a Democracy. In today's lineup of Charactors for the New World Order's Stage Production; An Ivy League (Yale) Old Guardian choice, playing in this part and starring as the front runner, a woman, an to bolster her appearance a past First Lady. Also starring in a part for the Old Guard Ivy Leaguers (Harvard) a Black American Male, being cast as an agent of change. (reminisce 60's). Next, we move on down the list to add some spice and supporting actors, given lines to tow the paly along the, and give it the appaerance of a Democratic candidacy.
The Second Act includes a lot of "Old Guard" styled favorites and a few new twists. We have some new Actors from smaller theatres coming in as protaganists and kinky backrounds to entice more audience participation also. No Blacks, or Women, so as not to be confused with the first act, however,a "charismatic" Baptist Preacher and his arch enemy from the cults, a Mormon! No way, you say! But wait there's even more entertainment, a POW who once released, began his acting career on stage productions acting in the part he made famous playing that of a political maverick, but has now morphed his charactor to become. But now rising out of his desert state he plays a mainstreamed proponent and a bastien of hope for the survival of the "Old Guard". Oh, there is more, but don't worry this Play Acting, and all its hype has guaranteed show dates coming to every theatre near you for the next 11 months. You can't miss it. No, I really mean that! You can't miss it, the MSM won't let you! Buyer Beware, the stage act and the charactors portrayed as being a Constitutionally bound President are offensive, and no one will ever be held liable for Treason or their Traitorous actions in the event that anyone of them should in fact take the Office.

This was a nice endorsement to read. The Clinton partisans can usually be recognized because they are cutting someone else down using campaign talking points.

There are many campaign talking points in the above, but it is still more impressive to see the case made by building up ones own candidate rather than cutting down another.

I have the greatest regard for you, Rep. Lee and your clarity on conviction in the House of Representatives. Your leadership on so many important progressive issues, especially on the war, were crucial

I am sorry, Congressman Lee,

You KNOW all these things?!
How?

Don't you think that factors such as: future make up of Congress, the oil crisis, possible terrorist attacks, budget deficit, inflation, economy,OPEC,lobbying etc., may SOMETHING to do with possible presidential decisions?

Respectfully, but only a politician on a campaign trail "knows" the future.

The rest of us mortals can only make careful conjectures and weep at our inability to predict the future.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Obama is truly one of the great American leaders of all time, and completely incorruptible. He will never sell out the best interests of the U.S. in an attempt to get the votes of those who can't even vote or anything like that!

I'm sorry, but we need a more substantive bridge to the future than Barak NoShObama is prepared to be at this time...He couldn't even manage/bother to show up for the Iraq and Iran resolution votes...How does that display "better judgement"...How does that display leadership?

Barak Obama is a foot-bridge, when what we need is a four-lane highway that can withstand the load that it is going to have to carry at the end of this administration.

For months now, I have tried to not be cast aspersions on those who do not (yet) support my candidate, but I am taking the gloves off now>

It is incomprehensible to me that seemingly intelligent people can somehow rationalize that Hillary Clinton or Barak Obama or even John Edwards is more prepared and more qualified to be the President of the United States than JOE BIDEN is.

Would SOMEONE, ANYONE accept my challenge and explain, with logical, substantive, specific arguments why JOE BIDEN isn't the best choice, both from the perspective of his readiness for the job AND his electability?

The other candidates are smart and talented, and would serve this country well in other capacities that are suited to their strenths, BUT NONE OF THEM IS AS PREPARED TO BE POTUS ON DAY ONE AS JOE BIDEN IS.

It's time to:
Elevate Excellence.
Reward Real Experience vs. Empty Rhetoric
Support Substance
Restore Our Honor.

That's JOE BIDEN for President

...Or prove otherwise... I dare you.
...Put up or shut up.

I just returned from my 3rd trip from Phoenix to Las Vegas to canvass for Barack. My walking partner was a 73 year old postal worker and ex-Republican! This campaign is full of diversity--incredible, dedicated, and passionate folks--all volunteering their time for Senator Obama! For all of you skeptics, I requests that you log on to his website--watch some videos, check out some of his in impressive endorsements (especially from foreign-policy experts, although Alice Walker is good, too), peruse through some blogs, check out some events in your local area, and if possible, swing by your local Obama office. There is such a feeling of possibility, hopefulness, and change afoot within this campaign. It is truly grassroots and I am proud to be a small part of it. Obama in '08!

Congresswoman Lee,

If Sen. Obama becomes President, would you please modify and amend his weak health care plan so that something universal is passed?

Many of us are worried that we are going to end up on the wrong side of his weak health care plan after it gets through Congress, and tragically be left behind.

That's a shame, as in the best chance we've had to win a mandate for universal health care in my lifetime. Please insist on universality even if Sen. Obama won't.

Please insist on Universality whoever is elected President.

I thank you and history will thank you.
