People holding signs and giving out pamphlets gathered in the parking lot of a McDonald's in Queens last Saturday to pose the simple question: "Have you heard the awesome news?" I approached one of them, a man with a big smile on his face, and he gave me a pamphlet. "THE END OF THE WORLD IS ALMOST HERE!" it read. "HOLY GOD WILL BRING JUDGEMENT DAY ON MAY 21, 2011." A few small children handed out pamphlets as well.
These demonstrators are members of the EBible Fellowship, a group that believes it has calculated the precise date of doomsday to May 21, 2011. For the past few months the group has traveled around the country in caravans to spread their news. When I told one of them that I wanted to document their group she laughed. "What's the point of it being published!"

well its the 11.27pm, the 22nd starts very soon. Its been a fantastic day in the country that see's the sun rise before any other country in the world. Im happy to report that although we have been devastated by 2 earthquakes back in Sept 2010 & Feb just gone, we are all fine, alive and laughing. We have been used to having severe aftershocks ranging from 3-5.2 richter on a daily basis, but for some reason we havnt even had one single tremor 2day.
I feel a little let down that jesus has stood us up & not even called or txt to excuse his non attendance on earth today. How rude
Ta Ta for now!
Do these people really think that he’s the only Christian on the face of the earth that got this right? The people promoting this aren’t coming to the same conclusion; they’re just repeating what Harold Camping said. Don’t these people study the bible for themselves?
If anyone is interested in seeing counter arguments, please go to my site where I’m examining the Judgment day teachings of Harold Camping. www.judgmentdaytruth.com
When nothing happens on 5/21/11 I hope these people are honest enough to admit their mistake and humble themselves before the world and apologize for promoting this false teaching.
I’m genuinely concerned for the people that do believe it. A lot of people are going to be devastated when this doesn’t happen. That is when, fellow Christians, we’ll need to setup and help restore the faith of those who were misled.

Great post.
1. "It was _your_ lack of faith that ruined it"
2. "There is something wrong with the calendar."
3. "Sorry I am not available to take your call. Please leave a message after the tone."
4. "You didn't take me literally, did you?"
