Rev. Dr. Jaime Clark-Soles serves as Associate Professor of New Testament at Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Her particular areas of expertise include The Johannine literature (the Gospel of John, 1, 2, and 3 John, and Revelation); "Evil, Suffering, Death, and Afterlife"; and the use of the Bible in moral debate.

Her most recent book, "Engaging the Word: The New Testament and the Christian Believer," exposes readers to some of the “hot topics” in New Testament study and why they matter for everyday faith. She “has Bible, will travel,” so spends much time in airports as she jets around to speak often and widely. She writes for workingpreacher.org and appears in the Johannine videos in the Disciple Bible Study series.

As an ordained American Baptist minister, Rev. Clark-Soles has served in both parish and hospice settings. She is a member at Church in the Cliff in Dallas, Texas. When not pondering the bible and culture, she’s at the gym playing racquetball and is sponsored by Ektelon.
