He certainly doesn't paint like Picasso, but he is gaining media attention worldwide with his works of art.
Kieron Williamson, a 6-year-old British boy has talent. Working in watercolor, he paints wonderful scenes of harbors, landscapes, etc.
He began drawing when he was five after a family vacation. His work was noticed by a friend of the family who is an artist. She offered the child lessons.
Art experts have praised his work and look forward to seeing more in the future.
Kieron was quoted saying "I'm going to send one to Prince Charles. I've already sent one to the Queen, but I haven't had a reply yet."

It's a charming painting and of course children should to be encouraged to explore their talents and express themselves. I wish Mr. Williamson well with his talent.
It's too bad that we typically stop encouraging children past a certain age. In America, Mr. Williamson will of course be considered a delusional failure if he's still painting at 30 but hasn't made a lot of money. At that point, he'll have to wait until he's 80 before anyone will bother looking at his paintings again. I suspect our shock at the phenomenon of a creative children and old people says more about us than it does children or old people.
In America we don't much care about art, but we do adore a good freak show. We love our 5-year-old lightning calculators and tangoing seniors, but in between, we admire only the rich.
Well done young man; I love your subtle coloring and the freedom of your brush strokes. I do think, however, that you have a few too many birds grouped next to the tower. Keep up the good work, can't wait to see you oils.
Nice technique - good observation skills.
"talented" yes.
an artist? not yet.
You have to live a life to be an artist.
That's certainly impressive. I know my 6 yr old won't be making me anything like this, unless there's a Star Wars character in it.
Watching this young painter grow will liven my retirement years. His composition techniques are impressive. I should like to see if he will try acrylics & what he might do with them. Acrylics can be gaudy but some artists tame & master using them.
That would be a good vehicle - he captures moments nicely - acrylics are 'quick'.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. After I read your post I went online and I watched him on video actually creating these paintings.
Also, he did have some art instruction, but he certainly took that and ran with it.
It makes me want to paint!
I think his work is impressive.
I am reminded of the little girl who was an abstract expressionist. her works sell for $20,000.
There was the comment made that any child with quality paints could do work like hers.
in this case, the perspective, the use of shadow, and the grey blue color in the tree to the right to show distance is usually the result of training.
I do want to know more and It is a pleasure to see a child with such artistic talent.
Either way, art instruction for children is part of a good education, along with music and the other arts.
Absolutely amazing for a 6-year-old. His composition, perspective and color sense (love the surprise of that dot of orange) are striking in one so young. If he keeps it up, he should be an acclaimed artist. Remember the name.
I could see that hanging in my dentist's office.
Obviously you know nothing about art WIETOG. The work is gorgeous.
I was just kidding - it is very good.
