Reza Nabavian is a Plastic, Reconstructive and Burn Surgeon. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at USC-Keck School of Medicine. He is attending staff at LAC/USC Regional Burn Center and Director of Aesthetic Surgery Education at USC Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is the Medical Director of Santa Monica Outpatient Surgicenter next to St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica.

In the aftermath of the January 12, 2010 earthquake in Haiti, Dr. Nabavian coordinated the medical/surgical relief operations of Artists for Peace and Justice (APJ). In addition to performing many limb-salvage and reconstructive surgeries in Haiti, he has helped set up a Rehabilitation Center at St. Damien's Pediatric Hospital in Port-au-Prince, where young victims of the earthquake receive artificial limbs and much needed therapy. Currently, he serves as the Co-Chair of the Executive Committee of APJ's Board of Directors. In this capacity, he helps execute the philanthropic goals of APJ, which include general relief operations as well building and operating schools in the slums of Haiti.
