Rhoades Alderson is a New England-based strategic communications consultant. He was previously Communications Director for the City of Providence and Mayor Cicilline. He co-founded Obama for America in his home state, and began his political life with Bill Clinton in 1992 one floor below the War Room. He briefly served as U.S. Secretary of Education Richard W. Riley’s aide-de-camp before embarking on a career in writing and strategic communications. He’s written and ghostwritten speeches, screenplays, commentary, articles, advertisements – most everything but a book (thankfully, Providence City Hall provided all the material he needs). He developed numerous communications campaigns as a private consultant, especially in health, education and government. His wife is the fabric designer Hannah Alderson and they have two young children.
