I hate to say it, but I grew up in the '60's: Civil Rights, the Women's movement, the Anti-war movement, Martin Luther King, the Kennedys, Earth Day, Peace, Love...
I was young, I thought it was all for real. It was all I knew. It wasn't till Ronald Reagan got re-elected in 1984 that I realized the positive aspects of the 60's may have been a collective hallucination due to the recreational drugs that were so readily available "back in the day."
It's a tough way to learn a lesson, but eight years of George Bush and the Republican party have given me hope. People now want change. People have had enough of the "anti-christs" of American politics (Cheney and Rumsfeld) and now its up to the Democrats to give the American people a positive chapter in the American Dream.
When Americans were presented with Earth Day, they embraced it. We cleaned up our neighorhoods, we cleaned up our streets, we cleaned up our towns, everyone, that is, except Corporate America, who, much like the Chinese, find it more profitable to pollute our environment and deny global warming.
We can do better than that.
We didn't send people to Iraq to save the Iraqi people. We went to war for Haliburton profits and for oil profits. Soldiers are coming home in coffins or limbless or even faceless while Cheney and the gang answer to their corporate boards.
We can do better than that.
Hypocrites criticizing our personal lives only to get caught soliciting sex in public toilets!!!
We can do better than that.
Media conglomerates, warrantless wiretapping, unequal and unenforced immigration laws, I can go on and on.
When you feel frustration from your electorate its because we don't want watered down Republican politics (Republican Lite). We want Democrats with Democratic values. Take care of the working family, equal opportunities for all our citizens and Justice for all.
"Justice" you ask? By Justice we mean, when this administration steps down we don't want them going off into the sunset with their fat pensions. We want them sitting in front of a judge and a jury. Let them know that the eight years they brought down on us is not a legacy we want to pass on to our children, and its not the way we want to inspire the rest of the world to behave. We have a constitution and we have our rights and we want to be treated that way.
The electorate is currently favoring the Democrats. There's a reason for that....
Respectfully yours,

So what's your point? The 60s were a bad dream and that you are a Reagan Democrat? Or that the last seven years makes you long for the peace and prosperity of the 90s? So you want Hillary to come in and give us deja vu all over again?
Hillary is a part of BUSHCO.
Bill's been a busy little bee.
You are talking to the hand, dear.
She wants the job, not the baggage.
Those "masses"....what a mess.
She uses the imperial 'WE'
I rest my case.
We have seen the enemy and it is she/us/we.
