Presidential Betting Odds: Things Tightening Up

People are starting to pay serious attention to the presidential race so the odds makers are seeing things tighten up a bit since my column of September 9th. The offshore odds now favor Barack Obama 7:5 while John McCain is even money. As an example, this means if you believe Barack Obama will be elected you would have to put up $700 to win $500. For McCain you'd wager $500 to win $500.
