Probably it will be Kate. Too bad. Remember, Meryl Streep is the biggest LOSER in Academy Awards history. Shameful, since by now she should have a mantle full of Oscars.
The real question is how pissed will she look when she doesn't win again?
I still remember how POed she looked when she lost for Titanic and that movie was terrible.
Yes, I'm not convinced she'll win either. I think Angelina should get it - that performance in the Changeling was second to none.
Who cares?
I was so embarrassed for Kate when she won the Golden Globe I had to turn the TV off because she made a fool of herself.
Actors always act as if they are winning the Noble Prize when in reality all they are doing is repeating words written for them and being told how to speak the words from a director.
Have some dignity . jeez ...rant over
KATE??? do you personally know her??? Geeze..
How about Halle Berry. For a so-so actress in a so-so movie, seeing her own win as an epic historic event, complete with wailing and shaking and blubbering was a tad over the top.
The movie that Richard Jenkins was nominated for is "The Visitor," not "The Reader."
AND my personal choice for best picture of the year! See it!
