Rick Finkelstein is a painter and installation artist. He conceived the Voting Booth Installation in 2004, which brought together artists, designers and Florida hanging chad voting booths. He was a public interest lawyer, director and co-founder of the Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem, an experimental public defender office serving the residents of Harlem and a former assistant clinical professor of law and director of the NYU Law School Criminal Law Clinic. He is currently collaborating on a documentary film and art installation focusing on issues of crime and wrongful conviction.
