Risa Ferman
Risa Vetri Ferman is the elected District Attorney of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. She won her seat in November 2007 after 15 years of working in the trenches as a prosecutor specializing in child abuse and homicide. Dedicated to protecting the most vulnerable, Risa was the driving force behind the creation of two non-profit organizations; Mission Kids Child Advocacy Center, designed to ease the criminal justice system for victims of child abuse and the Montgomery Child Advocacy Project ("MCAP"), providing legal advocacy for abused and neglected kids. Risa is the author of a children's book “The Mouse Who Went Surfing Alone” designed to introduce internet safety to young children.
