Born and raised in Los Angeles, Rob Jacobs studied Exercise Physiology at UCLA. In 1983-84 Rob worked at the world famous Golden Door Health Spa as an exercise and fitness instructor. Rob was one of the first in the fitness industry to blend entertainment and exercise programming at his store, The Walking Center in Beverly Hills. Coining the now popular term "exertainment" Rob successfully integrated the use of state of the art exercise equipment with interactive entertainment systems. At The Walking Center, Rob met his future wife, Ann Gentry and helped her open Real Food Daily, one of the nation's premier organic vegan restaurant chains. Later Rob worked as the Program Director for the Pritikin Longevity Center's out patient program. The Pritikin program was first and famous for utilizing diet and exercise to reverse heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure. Now with two small children, Rob is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for his family owned business, Jacobs Farm/Del Cabo, growers of certified organic culinary herbs and specialty tomatoes. Jacobs Farm is pleased to work with Tastybaby, an exciting new frozen organic baby food company that has a dynamic blogsite, Tastybaby.com, to which Rob is also a contributor.
