2.5 minute video that will make you smile, at end of article.

On the second day of their march, about 45 marchers relaxed in the shade, played guitars, banjo, drums, horns, harmonica and sang joyfully. The march is a rainbow of colors and genders, unlike what hashtag trolls have suggested.
The march, to bring visibility to Occupy Wall Street, was covered by a local Bucks County Courrier Times journalist when they stopped in Bensalem PA.
Local activists Bill Perry and Al Kovnat helped with transport, providing water for hydration and trash cleanup.
I had a great time handing out five pounds of cold fresh cherries to the marchers.

Now we should learn from Thomas Jefferson’s defeat of the Hamiltonian Federalists in 1800, and from Franklin D. Roosevelt’s defeat of Hoover Republicans in 1932. But we should realize that times have changed, and we have to employ new tactics and a new method to achieve real, lasting peace, freedom and justice.
We can no longer depend on partisan politics, because it has been entirely corrupted because money rules all politicians and both major parties cater to the wealthiest few.
Even if Obama were another Roosevelt, and even if he could succeed in restoring and improving the New Deal, the partisan political pendulum could swing back to the far right yet again. It would be but a matter of time. We've seen it happen many times before.
Since Reagan come along claiming to represent the "Moral Majority" (being supported by the "religious right") we've seen how wealthy right-wing ideologues have been able to completely rule with the power of money, simply by waving the flag, thumping their bible and rattling their swords.
So. Should we continue the children's game of "King of the Mountain" (partisan politics), which perpetuates the presidential monarchy and the divisive contest for the throne?
No. There's a better way -- as suggested in The 21st Century Declaration of Independence at http://messenger.cjcmp.org/newdeclaration.html.
