Wait a minute: Where is the evidence for this: "Robert Wurzelbacher, Joe the Plumber's father." I admit, it would be juicy and I would relish this if it were true, but I've been following this story for hours now, and I haven't seen any evidence of blood relationship, let alone a father-son relationship.
Can someone direct me to a web page with a credible report, that is not just repeating Eisenstadt?
He may not be. There are Worzelbachers too. The names are not rare in Ohio and other states with early German settlements.
There may be a weak link. Originally, Charles Keating comes from Cincinnati, so the theory isn't totally out in the stratosphere, though I doubt it's true. Cincinnati and Toledo are not near each other, though they are closer than Arizona.
Keating himself is a distraction but he's a hoot. Before he moved to Arizona, he's one of the ones who went after Larry Flynt in Ohio for obscenity.
Joe the plumber did admit that he was asked ahead of time by McCain people to go to a rally so they did know he was a supporter.
I knew something was fishy with Joe the Plumber........this morning on the news it came out he does not even have a plumbers license. He was obviously a Republican set up. Nice try guys. This guy does not have enough money to buy any company and he owes back taxes.
I thought it was bad enough that Joe was being passed off as an undecided voter, when in fact he is a registered Republican who voted in the March primaries.
I thought it was bad enough that he lied about his income, or the projected income of the business in question, making his complaint not only moot, but actually proving Obama's superior plan if he had been honest.
I thought is was bad enough that he is not a licensed contractor or plumber.
But KEATING? Well, I guess if you can put that miserable excuse for a running mate Palin on the ticket, you have already acknowledged you have no shame.
Wait a minute.... can we have some confirmation that Robert W. is really the father of Plumber Joe?
The discussion on the Daily Kos site about this seems pretty inconclusive about this, and the eisenstadt group post which was originally cited as confirmation has been taken down.
Let's make sure we have the facts and don't spread rumors like Republicans :-)
I'm willing to believe that any two people named Wurzelbacher are related "somehow" but that doesn't make them "close relatives" let alone father and son.
His name isn't even JOE! This is such a set-up by Rove! His name is Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher- they just wanted a "Joe" for the whole "Average Joe" and "Joe Six-pack" BS!
So, a Repub misrepresented facts and tried to ignore his own criminal connections? Next thing you know, the sun will rise in the East, water will be wet...

Wait - does that make Keating Joe the Plumber's grandfather?

I suppose Joe doesn't have a plumbing license because he's anit-regulation?
Wow.

Still, I continue to be shocked...
Has this been confirmed? Last I heard its status was "rumor". Fingers crossed!

So, what is the MSM waiting for... this is a story *begging* to be told!
I have also read that Joe doesn't have a license and owes back taxes. I would suspect then that he had been a McCain plant at the Obama rally.

FANTASY?
As much as it would be nice for McCain's septic tank to back up into his campaign, THERE SEEMS TO BE NOTHING HERE BUT A LAST NAME IN COMMON.
Our Joe admits he doesn't earn anything like $280,000 a year.
Our Joe says the business is just him and another guy.
Our Joe owes unpaid income tax to the State of Ohio.
That SHOULD be enough to "field dress" McCain's Moose . . . .
But this "declaration of fact" is dangerous to the cause if it is just blogs quoting blogs.
How about a DNA test? Or even an Ancestry.com report? Something, anything, if NOTHING, take this down!
Coincidence? I think not.
I assume Mccain is going to cancel his David Letterman's appearance tonight.
There oughta be a law.
