Robin is the director of GetEQUAL.org, an LGBT civil rights organization that uses direct action and online organizing to pressure decision-makers to work toward LGBT equality. Robin worked for four years with the Gay-Straight Alliance Network and Fresno’s REEL Pride Gay and Lesbian film festival. In November 2008, she was ousted as president of her son’s elementary school Parent Teacher Organization due to her public stance against Proposition 8. She fought back by helping to organize Meet in the Middle for Equality -– a statewide reaction to the passage of Prop 8. She was then asked to serve as the co-director of the National Equality March in DC, which drew upwards of 250,000 people to the streets of the nation's Capitol.
