Roger Bianchini is the Managing Editor of Warren County Report and a contributing writer for The Lynchburg Times and The Sherando Times.

A native of Washington D.C., who grew up in Alexandria, Va., he has lived in Front Royal, Va. for the past 24 years.

Bianchini teamed up with Publisher Dan McDermott to create Warren County Report, the first of now three independent newspapers, in the summer of 2006. Prior to that he had worked for two chain weeklies and another independent weekly, The Warren Times, all based in Front Royal. The latter project was the done in concert with semi-retired editor and local historian the late Rebecca Poe.

Bianchini began his move toward journalism as a profession rather late in life, at age 42, following a three-year venture in the restaurant business, which brought him to Front Royal and Warren County from Richmond in 1986.

He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology in 1973.

Prior to turning toward journalism, Bianchini career hopped, spending time in the field of sociology, playing with and managing progressive rock and fusion bands in Richmond, and managing Stuart Circle Pharmacy under the ownership of Richard Hoffarth, also in Richmond.
While in Richmond between 1967 and 1986, he occasionally contributed stories, usually sports related, to independent papers, most prominently Throttle Magazine. He has also contributed music pieces to several regional publications, including D.C.-based Rock & Soul Music News Review and Mind Candy, located in the Shenandoah Valley.
