L.A. Mayor Wants to Expand Arizona Boycott to Own City, State

Why stop with Arizona? L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa now wants economic sanctions against California too. If the Grand Canyon State deserves to be punished for its immigration law, he said, then California should be boycotted for Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage.

"Proposition 8 is every bit as discriminatory as Arizona's immigration law," Villaraigosa said. "I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't hold my own state to the same standards. For example, when I was speaker of the Assembly in 1994 and California voters passed Prop. 187, another anti-immigrant measure, I immediately urged a boycott of our state. ... Wait, I didn't do that? Crap. But still, that doesn't mean Arizona should get off the hook."

As a bonus, Villaraigosa's California boycott program could end L.A.'s budget crisis.

"Until the state overturns Prop. 8, I promise to cut off all government spending in my city," he said.

The LA Mayor is a hypocrite considering CA had such a Law long before AZ did.

Los Angeles is the haven and the gate way city for illegal immigration mostly because Villaraigosa endorses it.The San Fernado Valley has been turned into Tijuana North and is completely run down.Mexican graffiti is all over the Santa Monica Freeway ,Hes created a whole sub class of citizens that serve the wealthy and have busted the safety net put in place for American citizens,Martin Luther King Hospital was shut down in part because it was the trama war ward for all the gang shootings.He is playing both sides to the middle while claiming the problems not his but the federal government.The rich get their nannies and gardeners,the landlords get top dollar for rents wages keep going down because legals can not compete against illegals and costs keep going up while the social safety nets fail. Arizonas over the top reaction is no good.Villaraigosa has no legitimate voice when he encourages the problem at every touch and turn.

Of course this is satire but it's spot on actually. There's very little difference between Prop 8 and AZs law......LOL. Denying marriage rights to gays is pretty much the same as racial profiling...
