Ruby Reid is a social worker and community organizer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Social Welfare at Berkeley, concentrating on local, national and international responses to large-scale disasters, wars, and genocide. She was a full-time volunteer for Obama for America, coordinating some of the most high-volume phonebanks in the country.
