The AP ran a story today about how Eva Longoria's wedding is under wraps. As if! The article reads in part:
"Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria will marry her French beau, NBA champion Tony Parker, on Saturday. They have kept details of their upcoming nuptials under wraps.
Longoria's spokeswoman, Liza Anderson, would only tell The Associated Press, in an e-mail, that the wedding will be "a big, happy ceremony with lots of family and friends."
That's a great story. But the reality is a little different. Two weeks ago Tony revealed the time and place of the ceremony. Earlier this week Eva and Tony cavorted on a yacht in St. Tropez for photographers to see, one day and another. They threw a joint party in a hot nightclub. They took a trip to Disneyland Paris and posed for photos with Mickey Mouse. (Excellent team playing by Disney/ABC employed Eva). Somehow they let People magazine find out every detail about their romantic, private night at Mont Saint-Michel last night. And People found out about the civil ceremony taking place on Friday. And that's just some of their press shyness so far this week. And soon the world will read all about it, since they've sold their wedding photos to OK! for $2 million.
How under wraps.
