R.W. Sanders
GET UPDATES FROM R.W. Sanders
R.W. Sanders is in his fifties, living on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula in California. With a background in journalism and marketing, he was the victim of an unsuccessful operation and is now disabled with perhaps too much time on his hands. So now, rather than wrapping his hands around a golf club, he embraces his keyboard.

"Lately, I am worried for our society. I see very unhealthy attitudes toward others taking root. I fear we are moving toward an Orwellian world where more and more of our freedom is lost, daily. I hope that by making enough noise, I can bring awareness of just what the loss of freedom entails.

Whether we are some wondrous part of God's plan, or simply an accident of nature, our journey down life's path is so much better enjoyed with joy in our hearts and love for our fellow man."

R.W. and his beautiful wife have just passed their twenty ninth wedding anniversary. Though not well off financially, they realize that in many other ways they are wealthy beyond belief.

Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta and his wife Sylvia established the Panetta Institute in their hometown of Monterey, California, where they hold informative programs for the public featuring award winning speakers.

I sincerely hope that people do not feel the way that Alan Simpson, former republican senator, feels. I have...

When one is forced to pay attention to something one might even detest, there is usually a pearl of wisdom to be found. That is, if enough energy and tolerance is applied to the search. This leads me to reference Ronald Reagan, with whom I have severe conflicts of opinion....

A Paper Submitted in 1972

Yes, as one can assume from the title, I am older than time itself. Yet, remembering back into those foggy college days, I recall a paper I turned in for a final in the only computer class offered at this state university. Our computer consisted of nearly frozen card-counting machines...

Occupy Science

While it is true that I believe the exploration of space is a task that civilization must undertake in order to survive, I will admit that much of my curiosity is driven by a quest to understand the UFO phenomena. And as I find validity in ancient astronaut theory, it...

I have been reading the papers of Richard C. Hoagland recently. He was a consultant to NASA, and during the Apollo missions to the moon, he was science adviser for Walter Cronkite and CBS News. And in addition to being a very qualified scientist with a very interesting background, for...

Space Exploration Is Not A Choice

If you have been to the Sierra Nevada mountains in California, you will have an easier time imagining the following scenario. The Sierra begin as they emerge from California's great interior valley. This valley can be imagined as a bowl with a spout on one side, which is San Francisco...

How can anyone who views shots taken by the Hubble telescope deny funding for space exploration? There are shots of galaxies and galaxy clusters that are similar to looking into a funhouse mirror. The Hubble scientists are studying dark matter in galaxy clusters according to the Mail Online...

I Might Not Want to Vote for Obama, But I Have to

0 Comments | Posted October 13, 2011 | 5:41 PM

Almost three years ago, we went to the polls and cast an historic vote that we really thought would change the world. And perhaps we did. Many times, the product of one's actions does not become apparent until much later. In fact, quite often a result from an action takes...

Mayans, 2012 And ET, New Information?

There is talk on the blogosphere hyping a new movie/documentary that claims to have new revelations in the form of never before disclosed Mayan Codices. A codex is a Mayan written record. Actor and philanthropist Raul Julia-Levy, producer of the new documentary, has made claims that these newly released documents...

The Wrong Road Taken

Looking at government over the last decade or so, I have come to one inescapable conclusion. When the government is faced with a big problem, it is sure to look the other way. Our leaders would much rather address something that is easy to fix, and they usually try to...

Government Fiddles While the Country Implodes

Is it possible that our citizenry is so divided that a reconciliation is impossible? Is there any development capable of bringing us together? Do we actually need that alien invasion that Hollywood and Stephen Hawking like to exploit? These may seem like flippant questions, but there may be none more...

Mr. President, You Must Start Leading

Every big law this president has passed is like a big popcorn ball. From a distance it might look solid, but close inspection reveals a conglomeration of many differing agendas formed into a ball of almost nothing. After all, popcorn balls are mostly air, and many of these laws are...

The Super Congress We Did Not Elect

Perhaps I was asleep, or have amnesia, or maybe I was abducted by aliens, but I don't remember ever having elected a Super Congress. However, apparently there will be a committee of twelve that will effectively run our country. That is, if Congress votes for the debt crisis solution posed...

In light of the ridiculous, self-imposed debt ceiling crisis in Washington, perhaps it is time for the people to show their power and give politicians a taste of their own medicine. Watching these supposed leaders fighting to accomplish something they have done over and over throughout the years has reenforced...
