Been reading this indignant scorn about what evangelical Christians think of jews (when evangelicals are isreals biggest-and-best friends).
So I thought we should check what jews think of Christians.

Who would have guessed?
Can you feel the love?

Christians Make Jews Uncomfortable

Toward the conclusion of Judaism for Everyone, Rabbi Boteach tells us "why Jews are uncomfortable with Christianity." (13) Christians make Jews "uncomfortable" in ten ways summarized in the Appendix: Why Christianity Makes Jews Uncomfortable. Since Jews will have the power of life and death over Christians in the upcoming Jewish millennium, Jewish uncomfortable-ness matters.

Christianity Is the Ultimate Heresy

Now let us turn to page 401 of Judaism for Everyone and read as Rabbi Boteach says that Jews condemn Christianity as the Ultimate Heresy.

Certain beliefs have been deeply engrained into the Jewish psyche for so many thousands of years, that even the most secular and disinterested of Jews accept them as axiomatic. Foremost among these is the simple belief that no man could ever be God. Man is free, but his liberty cannot be taken for license.

The idea that a man could be God is anathema to everything that Judaism stands for and everything that Judaism came into this world to accomplish.

For Jews the Belief That God Can Be Human Is the Ultimate Heresy The belief that God could have been born of a human womb, or could once have walked the earth, is so foreign to Judaism that it is rejected even by the most assimilated Jews. Christianity, however, sees in Jesus the incarnation and embodiment of the Second Person of the Trinity, the Son.

On other issues, however, Judaism accepts the Bible literally:

In Egypt, God manifested strict justice toward the wicked Egyptians, destroying their lives and property through ten plagues. At the splitting of the Red Sea, He showed Himself to be a warrior who effortlessly decimated Pharaoh's legions...

Coulter's brand of Cristianity has misinterpreted the phrase "washed in the blood." It have instigated bloodbaths and will never be washed clean.

Here's a prediction:

As long as Coulter is instrumental as a voice in promoting the continuing occupation of Iraq and a potential war with Iran, neither the MSM nor AIPAC-sponsored politicians will seriously challenge Coulter as being anti-semitic.

ANY TV SHOW that lets her on as an equal and fair guest is utter garbage and should no longer be considered suitable viewing.

She needs the media WAY more than we do. It's the delivery system for her vitriol. We're fools if we drink from that stream any more.

People in the South are being told that the rest of us deserve to be killed for not being like them. I've been to some of those "Spiritual" Dog and Pony shows.

Why is this person getting publicity? It would be nice never to see anything about her.

There is a lot of REAL news, and if I want humor, there is Jon Steward and Steven Colbert. Much to be preferred!

Do people still pay any attention to Mann Coulter? Don't give her more publicity so she can sell more books.

Thanks. You're absolutely right. It doesn't even work as humor, in spite of the writer's good intentions.

I was just called a moron, etc. for making this point, so consider yourself lucky! Dare to point out that something doesn't work, and wtach out for the "nuance" lecture.

We're both morons, I guess. We think too hard.

Just a thought..."under God" was not included in the pledge until 1954...because the Knights Of Columbus lobbied Eisenhower after a sermon. How we went over 150 years without the statement legally combining of church and state is amazing. Those crazy secularists like Adams and Franklin should have known the country was doomed without the inclusion of a fairy tale.

Actually, we went over 100 years without any pledge at all. It was written in 1892 by a _Socialist minister_ (which I'm sure Ann would find a complete contradiction in terms) named Francis Bellamy. Although he was a minister, I've read that Bellamy rejected any mention of God as too divisive. Take that, Ann! Are you really sure you want to be reciting anything that was written by a SOCIALIST?

Just an add on. The original pledge referenced 'my' flag, not 'the' flag, and contained the word equality (between freedom and justice)which Bellamy removed for fear of offending his colleagues, other University presidents, that might construe it to include women and blacks.

Lets take baby steps and all become, or is that go back to being, Jewish first. Then we can evolve, slowly. Learn to love ourselves.

Ann and Ryan, (nice hair cut by the way) we were all Jews at one time.

Repeat after me, "I love Jews," now give yourself a big hug.

Shalom.

"Join Ann Coulter and Me," not "Ann Coulter and I." :)

Remove Ann Coulter (a happy thought, though of course I would never sanction violence), and you'll see. You would say, "Join me," not "Join I."

It's a small point, but as an decidedly unperfected Jewish English major I can't resist pointing it out.

You wouldn't say "Join I: Call for everyone to become Christian!" would you? If you wouldn't say that then why, on god's green earth, would you say "Join Ann and I:"? It sounds like English as a second language ... in the absence of a first.

The problem with getting your syntax all in a bunch is that it destroys your credibility - far better to mix your metaphors.

With Regard to Dear Ann, wasn't it Napoleon who said, "Never interrupt your enemy when he's [sic] making a mistake"?

Personally, I'd encourage Ann. The more people know about her and her ilk - the better!

The more outrageous, stupid, abusive and mean Coulter (Rush, Savage, etc) get, the greater confidence I have that the NeoCons know they are really are going off the rails.

I hope you don't see that as "an encouraging thought". They are still running the country.

With this ridiculous statement, Ann has at long last become a laughing stock and an embarrassment to even far right Repugs; marginalized, and hopefully ignored. Being ignored is Ann's concept of Hellfire and Damnation. Let us all send Ann to where she belongs - into obscurity.
