Disturbingly, most of my gay friends seem fine with Clinton's campaign using racism to win votes. What will they think now that she's stood next to North Carolina Gov. Mike Easley (D) while he used a gay slur, basically implying Obama was a "pansy"?
Now, I know from spending many recesses in middle school being called a pansy that it's just a subtle way of saying "faggot." Clinton stood by while Easley made that comment, smiling away. Speaking to a prominent gay journalist friend of mine this morning, he expressed his frustration with her campaign. "Hillary doesn't care about the gays. It's that simple. We're a political tool, like everything else in that family's orbit."
Clinton owes the gay community, which she has shamefully used as an ATM during her campaign, an apology for gay-baiting. We're waiting, Hillary.

Come on people. Stop pretending that you don't know what the word pansy means. You are probably unaware that the word fairy is not always a reference to the creature that exchanges your tooth for a dollar. And you probably believe that light in the loafers means someone who is just light on his feet.
There is a reason that the term pansy is not used in reference to women. Because it's a term reserved for a man who is perceived as somehow less than manly by virtue of being gay or gay-like. It's a slur plain and simple and no responsible candidate should tolerate the term's use.
For the governor to call Barack Obama "a pansy" is basically the same as if an Obama surrogate called Hillary Clinton a "bitch".
I just saw a clip, and I think he actually said "Rocky Balboa" - not Barack Obama. If this is the case, I withdraw my previous comment of outrage.
Well its about time LGBT woke up and smelled the coffee. Anyone from the South knows that around here, "pansy" has one meaning. More "code word" politics in Dixie. What I want to know is why LGBT have been supporting her so much anyway. Are memories that short?:

"Alan Van Capelle, a leading gay rights activist, who represents the Empire State Pride Agenda, said Mrs Clinton was "a complete disappointment" over her opposition to same-sex marriage and her support for a proposed constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage." http://www
Southern Progressives were alarmed by Bill Clinton's SC foot-in-mouth because we are very used to political "code words". Down here, its SOP. Its why the GOP is rolling out their Rev. Wright commercials in Mississippi and Lousiana. Anti-black, Anti-gay gets traction in the South. It's a shame. Gov. Easley knows that and Hillary Clinton knows that.
If you think the Clintons give a hoot about gay people, you weren't around in the 1990s. Bill Clinton signed the most homophobic piece of legislation in history -- the so-called Defense of Marriage Act. The man who was getting BJs in the Oval Office from Monica Lewinsky approved a law saying that gay relationships aren't as worthy as straight ones. The ironly of that isn't lost on those of us in the gay community. At least not on those of us who actually think.
Hillary Clinton is using race (to great effect) in this election. If you think she'll shrink from homophobia, you really haven't been paying attention.
You'll be waiting a long time, Ryan. Hillary Clinton is always right.
I thought the same thing when I heard it!
What will Perez Hilton say now?
This just gets better and better. Liberals have cast such a wide net and overfished the PC pool that it's more likely that they'll now drag one of their own onto the Good Ship Lollipop for a voyage to the reprogramming camp. LOL
"Pansy" isn't a gay slur. Or maybe not just a gay slur. I have no idea if slurs can be gay or hetero you know.
There are plenty of reasons not to vote for Hillary. No need to make up an issue about where she was standing when someone else said something that only the truly oversensitive or PC could possibly construe as anti-gay.
Please get a real issue and move on.
Ummm, no, pansy is not another word for "faggot." Only in your paranoid, hypersensitive mind. Pansy as I knew it meant "girly" or "wimpy." So, I guess everytime someone says that, "you throw like a girl" we are to take that as offensive and homophobic, right?
Grow up and grow some, stop being a pansy and so offended by everything. The world does not revolve around you, sir.
I guess commonsenserules doesn't use a dictionary either.
Uh, I'm from Texas and I've never heard a single person use the word "pansy" to describe a gay person. A physically weak person, male or female, yes. Gay, no. You're reaching.
look it up.
Everyone is a tool to the Clintons. Google "The Clinton Legacy."
