Event Description for "The Comedy Behind the News - And, More Often, the News Behind the Comedy":

On the evening of Friday, May 8th, Writers Guild of America comedy writers from your favorite late night shows (The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report, the Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and Best Week Ever) will perform stand-up routines at Washington DC’s Newseum and then afterwards discuss the phenomenon of audiences turning to these shows for news as well as the growing synergy between Washington, Wall Street, the Media, and Comedy/Variety programs. This event will be streamed live on Huffington Post.
