Since he began in talk radio in Las Vegas in March of 1997, Sam Greenfield has made a huge impact on the format. His show attracts listeners from every venue of life, from truckers to teachers, from entertainers to politicians.

Sam blends a unique style on his show. His years as a standup comedian serve him well in the show's lighter moments, and his phenomenal ability to call up facts and statistics from every facet of Americana allow him to engage callers and interviewees with a technique so uncanny that the Las Vegas Sun wrote, ''unfortunately, he is on the air for ONLY three hours.''

Originally from Washington, D.C., Sam graduated with honors from Howard University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Masters Degree in Education. He quit his doctoral program to join a rock band and, since that time, has been a standup comic, actor, writer, and now enjoys success in his chosen field of talk radio.

His career in the electronic media began on the NBC cable network ''America's Talking'' the predecessor to MSNBC. He co-hosted ''Pork,'' an hour-long daily television show discussing government fraud and waste. As co-host, he conducted interviews with government officials, journalists, and economic experts.

Then he was hired by the CBS owned news/talk station in Las Vegas, AM 840 KXNT, to host the coveted afternoon drive time slot. While at KXNT, Sam discussed a wide range of topics and had the privilege of interviewing many famous and renowned guests from journalism to sports, and politics to entertainment. His guest roster included Howard Kurtz, Sarah Silverman, Hillary Clinton, Nat Hentoff, Charles Rangel, Mark Shields, Mills Lane, Bert Sugar, Mitch Albom, Jesse Jackson, Al Gore, John Glenn, Sen. John McCain, Jay Leno, Eleanor Clift, Joy Behar, Michael Isikoff, E.J. Dionne, Tim Robbins, Willis Reed, The Smothers Brothers, The O’Jays, Lewis Black, Dick Schapp, and Art Buchwald.

He then returned to his adopted hometown of New York (he had lived here for the eleven years prior to going to Las Vegas) to host the evening talk show on News/Talk 1050 WEVD. In addition, he appeared on the highly rated Fox News Channel’s weekend entertainment show, “The Insiders”, and has made dozens of appearances on Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC. From there he became the host of “Drivetime Dialogue” on WWRL 1600AM. Now Sam mans the mornings for WVNJ (1160AM) in New Jersey..

Sam lives in Manhattan with his wife Barbara Singer, a talented performer and writer, and their daughter, Cassie Greenfield. He is active in community affairs and gives of his time to charitable organizations.

Erik Von Brunn is the son of the old man who killed a security guard at the Holocaust Museum. For years, James Von Brunn, this aging malfeasance, tormented his family and friends with his anti-Semitism and racism. He blamed Jews for everything from monetary woes to wars. He held people...

Palin Comparison

Sarah Palin is really steamed at David Letterman about his remarks concerning her daughter. So steamed, in fact, that she indicated she wouldn't let her 14 year-old daughter near Letterman, a man Palin never fails to remind us is 62 years old. The inference is that he wouldn't be able...

A crazy old bastard stormed into the Holocaust Museum and killed a security guard. He killed a man with a son and family. He killed an American citizen in an act of lawlessness supported on his website, supported by a loosely connected band of like-thinking people.

If he was a...

If We Go to a Play, The Bankruptcies Win

So President Obama and his wife went to New York for dinner and a play. Every once in a while this young man (I am now older than my first president) and his wife like to get away for a date. I guess Mrs. Obama's mom watched the kids so...

Adios a el Hispano Voto

The Latino vote should be the exclusive property of the Republican party. Religiously faithful, socially conservative, family oriented, they are a poster for the GOP. Except, well, they're not...white.

White males all over the land of conservative punditry are calling Sonia Sotomayor a racist, a practitioner of exclusivity, a champion of affirmative...

The other day I was looking at an ad for a radio position in the West. The ad emphasized that a conservative host was an essential requirement. This prompted me to write them an e-mail.

I emphasized that I was not applying for the job,but that I thought it was...

1) William Kristol, the Frank Sinatra Jr. of neocons, comepletely misquoted President Obama's speech before the Turkish parliament. Why? Had he not, he would have been right for the first time since he stated his name to the Department of Motor Vehicles.

2) Sixteen year old Miley Cyrus said dating...

President Obama made a joke referencing The Special Olympics when trying to make a joke about his lack of bowling skills. All hell broke loose. Maria Shriver (whose mother created the Special Olympics) was upset. A kid from the S.O. challenged President Obama to a game of tenpins. On and...

The High Rollers of Hypocrisy

I remember an interview with Kenny Rogers where Barbara Walters chastised him for choosing fame over family. I almost gagged, because I had this image of Walters pushing a family member to the ground to interview Gorbachev, or Sadat, or Brittney Spears' road manager. When a member of the press sits...

Wrong by Definition

Bi-partisanship is, by definition, support of an issue by members of both parties, particularly political parties. So when a bill passes with no support from the GOP in the house and two votes out of forty from the Republicans in the senate, that is not bipartisan.

Not only are...

I do not know why the GOP has lost their sense of reason. We are in an economic tailspin that is literally killing people. Homes are being taken away, car dealers are giving away product, banks are closing faster than one can keep track, and the GOP's solution is to...

I feel great sympathy for Ted Haggard, the minister who has now owned up to engaging in gay sex. This has resulted in his expulsion from his church, exile from Colorado, (although how church elders can force you from a United State mystifies me) and descent into shame and near...

Sarah Palin said if she ran WITH Obama, she would have been adored. You bet. Nothing Democrats cozy up to more than a gun loving, anti-choice religious fanatic who doesn't read and has a teenager knocked up by a guy whose life philosophy is "just chillin'..."
