October is Diversity Awareness Month, and students of Towson University -- in collaboration with the TU Student Government Association -- have chosen to take a stand on the issue of hateful speech. As the students point out in the video below, we've all said it, we've all seen it and we've all laughed at it. But that doesn't make it OK.
The words we create are powerful, and the purpose of this video is to encourage others to realize the impact that words can have.
Through this video, these Towson University students encourage others to embrace and celebrate the differences among them that bring them together. Towson students have spoken and have taken their own stand. Now, what will be yours?
