Now that temperatures are dropping, it's a great way to increase your circulation and got toasty from the inside out. It's slow tempo and attention to breath will also help your mind stay focused and alert--ready for whatever your day brings you.
Feel free to leave a comment, letting me know how it goes for you, as well as what kinds of yoga practices you'd like to see here in the future.

I like the idea of yoga as the new caffeine! as I practice yoga, I would like to see discussions on how to deal with common injuries and modify the practice, such as rotator cuff, knee problems etc. although the drift I get so far here is more promoting yoga as a happy lifestyle with no strings attached rather than focusing on mundane details.
The best I ever felt in my life was when I was practicing yoga several times a week. I slept better, traveled better, looked better. It is definitely on my list of things to do to get back into it.
yes, i hope that you do! it definitely makes everything feel better :)
Start back up in the morning with me! At home with the video guide. In p.j.s. Simple.
Ms Sara, can a person above 50 years of age start taking yoga lesson? Is it safe? I have friends who asked me this question. I have been drawing blank when I asked post this queation in HuffPo Living.
Is this a taboo question in Yoga?
hi khanti,
yes, it is totally fine for someone over 50 to start practicing yoga. my mom is a great example of that, and there are many many others doing it, too.
the most important thing is finding the right teacher and style of yoga. luckily, there's lots of variety and expertise available now in most communities. i think it's a great question. it's important that everyone has access to yoga--regardless of their age!
blessings,
sara
