I’ve always been fascinated by S’mores. Although I never had them in my childhood, I discovered S’mores through old American movies, which of course made a lasting impression on me and led me to believe the following:

  • They are often consumed while camping in the woods with a group of friends
  • You have to cook them on a high flame to darkener the outside of the marshmallows
  • The traditional recipe includes the use of a particular type of crackers named “Graham”
  • You should preferably use the Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bars

Now that I live in the United States, I decided to go ahead and try to recreate this recipe in my kitchen, because I’ve never been the type of person to go camping. Therefore, I grabbed my pack of marshmallows and tried to cook them on the kitchen stove, but I suddenly realized that the process wasn’t as simple as the movies made it to be. After a few attempts, I started to lose hope and blamed my failures to the non-familiarity I had with this recipe, as this was my very first time trying to cook them. I then sat back down and opened my laptop to find help on the internet, and after a few hours of researching, I finally came across what I was looking for; a recipe that teaches you a new way to cook them using the oven!

These new recipes were perfect because now I could avoid spreading a strong burning smell all over my kitchen. As usual, I couldn’t leave the recipe as it was, so I added my special touch by putting tufts of colored cotton candy and giving them a fairy appearance 🙂 Enjoy!

Ingredients for 6 s’mores

6 Graham crackers

A pack of Marshmallow (choose the size you want)

Hershey’s chocolate bar (if you can’t find them you can use any other brand)

Cotton candy

Directions

Preheat oven in grill mode to 350 degrees

Cut the crackers in half and place them on a baking tin

Place a marshmallow on top of each cracker

Cook in oven until the marshmallows are toasted.

Now, take the baking tin out the oven and place the chocolate on top while they are still hot to melt it.

At last, add the cotton candy and close them using the other half of the crackers.
