Regina Kimbell sued Chris Rock last week, claiming that Rock's new documentary about black hair, Good Hair, copies her 2006 documentary My Nappy Roots.

The last straw was this latest advertisement for the "chin machine", some kind of spring-loaded gizmo that you put under your chin to exercise neck muscles. It's supposed to take away those ug ly folds of skin...the before and after pictures are hysterical! Can you say "photoshop"?

What is the point of motorized mascara? Really...what is the point?

Here's my take:
We're taught from when we're little kids that we're supposed to be someone other than who we are. Religion, school, parents. And this is how the cosmetics and related industries make billions of dollars.
