Target Women: Charm School

digg Share this on Facebook Huffpost - stumble reddit del.ico.us RSS

Vh1 makes a lot of money off of misbehavin' ladies shakin their thang and getting hammered on its reality shows. But fear not, fellow etiquette lovers, Vh1 is also providing a solution to the crass behavior so callously encouraged on "Rock of Love Bus" and "Real Chance At Love." They have taken those females and placed them under the tutelage of Ricki Lake - a veritable Emily Post I am sure you agree. Then they live in a house together and learn the finer arts of charm.

Also, they get shit-faced and bitch slap each other.

You can check out a new "Target Women" segment every Thursday during "infoMania" at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Current TV.

Funny. But when did inviting volunteers become exploitative? These poor women aren't responsible for their actions because why? They're foolish women?
Sarah, is that a role around your belly, or are you just up late at night eating ice cream?

Oh snap! Attributing opinions to Sarah Haskin which she did not in fact express, AND insulting her based on her physical appearance! Ding ding ding! It's this week's entry in sexist straw man comments!

You could have won the prize, had you not observed that Ms. Haskin was, in fact, funny. A true troll would NEVER give that up.

No harm done. She made the comment about them being exploitative. She is definitely funny, and she chose to wear a tight shirt that revealed her belly. She's cute, smart, funny, and little ice cream. Oh how horrible.....!!!!

I know when I think of charm the first person that comes to my mind is Rickie Lake. Remember that show she had? Charming, utterly charming.

Sarah Haskins is quite perceptive and funny.

But, why should men have to do all the work making clowns of ourselves for women?

It's about time women take up some of the slack themselves.

Society needs a certain amount of superficiality to keep the all the organized angstivism from creating dangerous rifts on the boundaries of different schools of angstivist ideology.

Kudos to Ricki Lake for bringing some of the fun back to television. She's keepin' it real.

I don't agree and I don't understand how profiling an entire demographic to keep the kids at home from understanding and participating in each others individuality would lead to dangerous rifts.

And the word angstivism is a redundant oxymoron.

"And the word angstivism isn't real."

I'm sure that's what you meant.

I love the word "angstivism"! I'm going to borrow it, if you don't mind...

Of course you can Sally. :^)

I made it up one day and I've been using the hell out of it since, hoping others will accept it into their lexicon.

This little blip is funnier than a week of Conan O'Brian, no matter what time he's on.

I like her style, good content. Survey says a fan base will appear out of the nowhere to both vilify and neilsen rate it up to the moon. Amazing how REAL we can get today if we just use our imaginations.
