Why are women always doing laundry? Because of years of inculcated gender roles? Oh no. There's a dirty little secret - we're addicted to it. Laundry is the ladies' drug of choice. We just can't stop.
Sarah Haskins explores this secret addiction in her latest segment, "Target Women: Laundry."
You can check out other "Target Women" segments every Thursday night during "infoMania" at 10 p.m. ET/PT and online at Current.com.

I haven't done laundry since 1987, the year I graduated college.
Time to revive Betty Friedan: "Women of the world unite...you have nothing to lose, but your vacuum cleaners!"

I burnt my shirt last night. :(
Now, all I can wear is this really old Iron Maiden T-shirt.
Oh, the Irony . . .
I love laundry. It's ironing I hate!
I moved to the tropics and wear less clothes; longer between laundries.
I love Sarah Haskins! I've been following her for a little while, what a surprise to see this here.
I'm a 70 year-old retired carpenter who grows peppers, daydreams and does his own laundry by hand. I figure that, by the year 2039 I will have saved up enough money (by hand-washing and hang-drying) to buy a used Volkswagon Bug (if there are any still around then).
Of course I realize that by then I'll be 100 but, if i drive slowly and keep my left blinker on at all times people (and cops) will let me cut a wide swath. If not, I'll cut my own swath.
I personally love the eco-friendly detergents. They're not as chemically smelling as the others. Plus separating colors and doing all the reds together is fun!! ;D
Sarah is brilliant! A female Stephen Colbert! 5 * (stars)
funny but true. my mother was absolutely addicted to her washing machine. my dirty little secret? i love ironing sheets. here in italy irons and ironing are on another level altogether. you can buy a really heavy iron connected to a huge water tank that will create enough steam for hours of carefree ironing. too bad they cost so much. sadly i been too busy doing other things for the past six years and have no time to iron sheets. or anything else for that matter. perhaps today? no, too hot....

Loving laundry is not a dirty thing. It's too bad a man's desires in that direction must stay in the closet for now.
The fact that people here don't recognize this as parody makes me sad...
Okay, folks. It is a funny, not intended to represent reality or real women.
Sarah does hilarious caricatures of how society sees and depicts women. I love her chocolate one. I laugh until I snort.
Now that I know, I will not feel bad about my wife doing laundry every night while I watch TV. Thank you Sarah.
Speak for yourself! I hate doing laundry.
