Sarah Stierch is a 2012 Wikimedia Community Fellow who is focusing on encouraging women's participation in Wikimedia projects. A master's student in Museum Studies at George Washington University, Stierch also serves as the first Wikipedian in Residence at the Smithsonian Institution. Through her fellowship, and as a Wikipedian, Stierch hopes to inspire women to "mind the gap" and help to close the gap instead by realizing how women's contributions deeply affect the landscape of Wikipedia and it's readership.
