Saul Landau, Professor Emeritus at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, an internationally-known scholar, author, commentator, and filmmaker, is a Fellow and Board Member of the Institute for Policy Studies. His latest films include: The Sixth Sun; Mayan Uprising in Chiapas (1997); Maquila: A Tale of Two Mexicos (2000); Iraq: Voices From the Street (2002); Syria: Between Iraq and a Hard Place (2004) and We Don't Play Golf Here (2007). He writes a weekly column for progresoweekly.com and Counterpunch.

He received an Edgar Allen Poe Award for Assassination on Embassy Row, a report on the 1976 murders of Chilean Ambassador Orlando Letelier and his colleague, Ronni Moffitt. His latest book is A Bush and Botox World (2007).

He received the Bernardo O’Higgins award for human rights from the government of Chile in 2008. He also won the Letelier-Moffitt Human Rights Award, the George Polk Award for Investigative Reporting, and the First Amendment Award, as well as an Emmy with Jack Willis for "Paul Jacobs and the Nuclear Gang."
