Scott Downes is the Senior Project Director at The Colorado Trust, a health care grantmaking foundation dedicated to acheiving access to health. Previously, Scott served as the communications director at the Colorado Center on Law and Policy and the Colorado Fiscal Policy Institute. A veteran campaign strategist and speechwriter, Scott has worked in Colorado, New Mexico, Indiana, and Washington, D.C., at all levels of government and politics. He has managed a winning congressional campaign; started his own communications business; and served as a speechwriter for two governor, political candidates, nonprofit and community leaders, and several friends' wedding toasts. Scott graduated from the University of Notre Dame. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Summer Scholars and is a member of Leadership Denver's Class of 2012.
