Sean joined American Prairie Foundation during its inception in 2001 as APF’s first board member. He currently serves on APF’s fourteen-member board of directors and oversees APF’s staff of twenty-one employees. The goal of the American Prairie Reserve Project is to create the largest wildlife complex ever assembled in the lower forty-eight states. When completed, the reserve will be comprised of some 3.5 million acres (5000 square miles.) Sean’s passion for the APR project is inspired by the opportunity to leave an extraordinary wildlife legacy for future generations.

Prior to joining APF, Sean was a co-founder of Catalyst Consulting based in Santa Cruz, California. Catalyst specializes in organization alignment, strategy development and implementation. Started in 1985, Catalyst grew from the original three founders to 35 employees with offices in Silicon Valley, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. During his sixteen years with Catalyst, Sean worked extensively with clients throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
Sean has lived many places around the U.S., but grew up primarily in Great Falls, Montana, spent summers working in the Paradise Valley south of Livingston, MT and is a graduate of Montana State University. He lives in Bozeman, Montana with his wife
Kayla.
