	<abstract><![CDATA[<p>Wednesday, NBC announced the details of its comprehensive Olympic broadcast plans for the 2008 Summer Games, including 3,600 hours of coverage, over 1,000 more hours than devoted to the previous 12 televised Summer Olympics combined (2,562 hours). NBC plans to broadcast 75% of all Olympic events live (2,900 hours), despite the 12-hour time difference between Beijing and the East Coast, and will air coverage on USA, MSNBC, CNBC, Oxygen, Telemundo (in Spanish) and Universal HD as well as NBC. </p>
