<p>After an intensive marketing campaign that's been <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dark_Knight_(film)#Marketing">active for more than a year</a>, <em>The Dark Knight</em> opens today to rave reviews, sold out cinemas and dizzying expectations. More reviews keep pouring in.</p>

<p>The New York Times calls it "<a href=" http://movies.nytimes.com/2008/07/18/movies/18knig.html?8dpc">darker and deeper than any Hollywood movie of its comic-book kind</a>" and goes on to say:</p>
